About DesignLab

DesignLab is a high-end design-build studio serving the Washington, D.C. Metro, Northern Virginia, and Southern Maryland. Originally launched as NaturalDecor USA, we began with a focus on custom cabinetry and closets before evolving into a vertically integrated firm offering full-service design, millwork, and stonework. Our in-house team of designers, fabricators, and project managers partners with homeowners, builders, and architects to deliver refined, functional interiors—from kitchens and bathrooms to custom closets, home bars, and complete interior transformations.

Led by Brandon Curry and Joseph Mutlu, DesignLab blends European-inspired aesthetics with American craftsmanship and project delivery. We work with clients across McLean, Great Falls, Arlington, Bethesda, and Chevy Chase to turn design visions into beautifully built realities. Brandon Curry

Brandon Curry

Founder

Brandon Curry, founder of the company, brings a wealth of hands-on experience and visionary leadership to every project. Originally from Potomac, Maryland, and now based in Falls Church, Virginia, Brandon has personally built three homes and played a key role in over 70 ground-up custom home builds and 200+ interior design and custom millwork installations.

With a deep background in custom home building and cabinetry, Brandon offers a unique blend of big-picture vision and attention to fine detail, an approach that defines the company's reputation for quality and craftsmanship.

Outside of work Brandon enjoys vacationing with family and friends, cooking, bourbon, and Washington sports.

Joseph Mutlu

Joseph Mutlu

Founder

Originally from Turkey and now based in Ashburn, Virginia, Joseph "Joe" Mutlu brings a global perspective and unmatched expertise to the heart of our work. With extensive experience in importing premium natural stone from around the world, Joe has played a key role in thousands of high-end residential projects across the DMV.

As a former partner at one of Northern Virginia’s largest stone fabrication companies, Joe has earned a reputation for quality, precision, and deep industry knowledge. His dual expertise in both stone and cabinetry makes him an invaluable resource to builders, architects, and designers alike.

Memo Bakir

Memo Bakir

Office Manager &
Brand Ambassador

Memo brings over two decades of experience in sales and marketing, with a specialized focus on media sales and a consistent record of driving business growth. As the office manager and brand ambassador, he combines strategic oversight with a keen eye for client engagement and brand representation.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication from Istanbul University’s Faculty of Communication, grounding his professional approach in strong media and public relations expertise. Memo has also spent more than five years as a showroom manager in Northern Virginia’s remodeling industry, where he honed his skills in interior design and customer service.

Outside of work, Memo is a proud father of two and an avid sports enthusiast. He enjoys playing pickleball and volleyball in his free time, embracing the balance between professional dedication and personal passion.

 

Oz Turk

Oz Turk

Architectural &
Technical Designer

Oz Turk is a seasoned architectural and technical designer with a decade of experience in architecture and interior design. A graduate of Istanbul Gedik University with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Oz has made his mark on projects across the globe — including in Guinea, Ghana, Senegal, Rwanda, Turkey, Germany, Georgia, Iraq, and the United States.

Known among colleagues and clients as the “Wizard of Oz” for his creative problem-solving and technical precision, Oz thrives in cross-cultural environments and brings an adaptive, innovative approach to every project. His expertise bridges design and function, making him a key contributor to both residential and commercial developments.

Outside the office, Oz is an avid brunch-goer, city walker, global traveler, and lover of ancient history. You’ll often find him exploring new cultures, paddle in hand for a pickleball match, and always wearing his signature glasses.

Stacie Gardner

Stacie Garner

Business Development Manager

Stacie Garner is a seasoned Business Development Manager with over 15 years of experience in the design and renovation industry. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from the American University in Dubai and has led a wide range of projects — from kitchen and bath remodels to pre-sale home renovations.

Her portfolio includes international work across the UAE, Oman, Kuwait, Kenya, India, and Malaysia, where she’s known for blending strategic vision with a client-first approach. Stacie’s global experience and deep industry knowledge make her a trusted partner for homeowners and developers alike.

Outside of work, Stacie enjoys watching soccer and Formula One, playing cards, and traveling the world with her family.

 

Idil Aloglu

Idil Aloglu

Interior Designer

Idil Aloglu is an experienced interior designer with nearly two decades in the field, known for her refined aesthetic and passion for custom design. A graduate of Istanbul Technical University, Idil began her career in Istanbul’s top design offices, where she specialized in bespoke interiors that reflect both function and artistry.

One of her proudest accomplishments was working on the Istanbul Modern Museum project alongside the renowned Renzo Piano team, an experience she calls a dream come true. Idil brings that same passion and precision to every project she touches.

Outside of work, Idil enjoys spending time with her pets, cooking for friends, traveling, and playing tennis.

Jared Curry

Jared Curry

Project Manager

Jared Curry brings over 13 years of experience in sales and business development management, with a proven track record of driving growth and building strong client relationships. As a project manager, Jared combines strategic leadership with deep industry knowledge to deliver high-impact results.

He’s earned multiple business development awards throughout his career, including being named the #1 Local Business Development Manager in the country, a testament to his dedication, drive, and performance.

Outside of work, Jared is a devoted Washington Commanders fan and an avid golfer who enjoys hitting the green whenever he can.

"We just finished a media room project with DesignLab. Their creative team helped us brilliantly transform the space from a simple movie room to a stunning, fun and useful entertainment and gaming environment.

First, they provided expert design advice sharing the latest ideas for materials that matched our fun and cool aesthetic vision. They also CAD tools that made it easy to model design alternatives and material options we were considering. They never pushed their own product ideas on us but they did provide examples of a large variety of design and material options available in the market today. A very experienced team arrived at our house on Monday and completed the entire installation in less than one week. We were able to enjoy the media room that weekend. It is now such an amazingly delightful space we like to just sit in the room, relax and enjoy the visually pleasing and stunning environment.
